Hello there, dearly beloved LoudOut Room readers! My apologies for my long hiatus (or pregnant pause if you prefer), been busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest lately!
Anyway, as those of you who’ve read some of my previous works will recall, I’m a big-time, unashamed fanboy of Beretta firearms, especially the iconic Beretta 92 pistol series (known in U.S. military parlance as the M9). Well, hard to believe as it may seem, the Beretta 92 is now a quinquagenarian, i.e., it’s celebrating its 50th birthday this year. (By happy coinkydink, I too celebrated my 50th birthday earlier this year; all you single ladies out there reading this, don’t let my dashing youthful good looks fool y’all!”
Accordingly, to honor the Model 92’s special anniversary, I’ve finally gotten around to publishing my first book, titled “Five Decades of a Fabulous Firearm: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Beretta 92 Pistol Series.”
Book Description
“Beretta is the world’s oldest industrial firm of any kind in addition to being the world’s oldest existing gunmaker, and the Beretta 92 pistol series is arguably its most famous, prestigious, and successful product ever turned out by that company. Now, Christian D. Orr, former US Air Force officer, Federal law enforcement officer, NRA Certified Basic Pistol Instructor, and lifelong firearms enthusiast, delves into the remarkable 50-year history of this remarkable gun, from its predecessors and ancestors to its inception to its trials, tribulations, and ultimate triumphs. The author also provides his personal insights based upon his extensive hands-on experience with the Beretta 92/M9.”
Where Can You Buy It?
Well, I’m glad y’all asked! It’s available on Amazon, both in paperback (Print-On-Demand) and Kindle (Print Replica) formats. (Yes, I went the self-publishing route; saves a helluva lot of time and agony versus trying to go the traditional publishing route). Please read, enjoy, and spread the word, via social media, word-of-mouth, and reviews on Amazon and Goodreads alike. Thanks in advance for your support and VIVA BERETTA!!
