EOTECH has been pushing the boundaries of electro-optics for over a decade, and they’re not slowing down anytime soon!
From its roots in holographic sights to a full suite of cutting-edge gear that includes magnified optics, micro red dots, night vision, thermals, and laser systems, EOTECH has evolved into a powerhouse of innovation. In 2022, it took it a step further, launching a manufacturing center dedicated to high-tech digital sensor systems.
Now, they’re doubling down on that with the opening of their brand-new Tech Center in Orofino, Idaho. A full-blown R&D powerhouse, this new center is state-of-the-art. Engineers and designers will have everything they need to refine, test, and prototype the next generation of EOTECH hardware.
“We are thrilled to open our new Tech Center in Orofino, an area that will be the conduit between our headquarters in Michigan and our sensor factory in California,” said Aaron Hampton, EOTECH’s President of Product Development. “This facility provides us with the talent and opportunity to plant the growth initiatives for the company’s next phase of our development. We strive to inspire new technology-driven solutions, and this investment will accelerate innovation and the development of new solutions for our core and emerging markets.”
Officially opened on February 26, 2025, this 4,200-square-foot facility is stacked with state-of-the-art tools. The optics lab boasts cleanroom flow hoods, optical breadboards, collimators, and high-purity nitrogen for assembling and fine-tuning weapon sights and camera systems. Meanwhile, the mechanical lab is built for precision, featuring small-scale machining, an inspection area with a granite table, and a full suite of physical and optical metrology systems.
EOTECH is investing in the future of optics. Expect big things to come out of Orofino.
