Yes Please Santa!  Just beware, you’ll do more than shoot your eye out with this one.

The 10mm cartridge was designed in response to the cataclysmic 1986 FBI Miami shootout in which FBI agents using 9mm caliber pistols were seriously outperformed.  Regardless if the argument was true or not, the cartridge has endured.  Yes, it has a hefty recoil that has to be managed but it’s not impossible, and when that’s handled properly the 10mm is a hard-hitting, flat-shooting bullet.

As time has passed more companies are offering 10mm pistols but my favorite platform is a Pistol Caliber Carbine, and Hydra Weaponry in Maine has added the 10mm to their modular MARCK-15 Hydra Weapon System.  Like other pistol calibers Hydra has built the 10mm uses Glock magazines, in this case, the Glock 20 and 29 magazines.

The Hydra Weaponry team designed a Hydra modular lower receiver with a 10mm H21 magazine well. With the H21 mag well as the starting point, Hydra included the Hydra Quick Change Barrel Upper Receiver (QCB-D) along with a Hydra 16-inch 10mm blowback barrel, a 10mm blowback bolt, and a durable B5 Systems stock and pistol grip.

I think a PCC is the optimum platform for the 10mm, the extra barrel length is an advantage it can make use of and recoil is a non-issue now.  Home defense, hunting, or target shooting are all a blast with a PCC in 10mm.

And look, it’s Christmas time too!

Garfield out.
